In the last 12 months news about under display fingerprint sensor have been doing the rounds quite frequently. Now the latestbuzz is that Samsung Note 9 might come with it.
As per a report by Business Insider, Samsungwill not be able to embed the fingerprint sensor in the Galaxy S9 as it is most likely to be launch in February 2018. Instead, it will feature the on-screen fingerprint sensor in Galaxy Note 9 which is expected to launch next August or September.
The Samsung will use the AMOLED screen as the light source for the fingerprint sensor. As per the report, Samsung’s subsidiary LSI and BeyondEyes have started shipped sample parts to Samsung for the Note 9.
Meanwhile, Apple was also rumoured to feature an on-screen fingerprint sensor on its iPhone X, but Apple is not able to come up with the technology in time and has to ditch the sensor. However, Apple came up with the facial sensor technology known as the FaceID for biometrics. It seems Samsung is not willing to give up the fingerprint sensor and even trying to feature it under the display
