Samsung launches Galaxy Ace Duos in India

The Android Gingerbread operating system based dual SIM smartphone comes with a 832 MHz processor, 5 megapixel camera and is priced at Rs 15,090.

Samsung has launched its Galaxy Ace Duos in India, which is an enhanced version of the widely popular Galaxy Ace and as the name suggests, it comes with dual SIM functionality. The Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos is priced at Rs 15,090.

“Based on the Gingerbread platform, the Galaxy Ace Duos allows users to manage their work and personal calls with the Smart Dual SIM while availing the best pricing plans. Besides getting flexibility, the users also enjoy more expansive coverage especially when traveling. With the launch of the Galaxy Ace Duos, we have strengthened our innovative portfolio of Smart Dual SIM category,” stated Ranjit Yadav, country head, Samsung Mobile and IT while launching the phone.

The Galaxy Ace Duos comes with Smart Dual SIM feature which allows users to swap between the SIMs without turning off the phone. When activated, this feature automatically forwards calls from SIM 2 to SIM 1 when the user is talking on SIM 1 or vice versa, ensuring there are no missed calls.

The Ace Duos has an 832 MHz processor and HSDPA 7.2 Mbps & WiFi b/g/n connectivity. Besides, it has a 5 megapixel camera, 8.9 cm HVGA screen, Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and a 3 internal memory.

Like other Samsung Galaxy smartphones, it too comes with the TouchWiz UX interface that provides the user with a premium navigation experience. Galaxy Ace Duos comes with a 1,300 battery which Samsung claims to provide 6.5 hours of talk time on a network and approx 16 hours on a 2G network.
