Samsung Galaxy SIII Jelly Bean upgrade delayed due to bugs

The Android 4.1 upgrade for Galaxy SIII had to be rolled back as users experienced bugs with their devices.

After rolling out the Jelly Bean upgrade for Galaxy SIII smartphone few days back, Samsung has now rolled back the same after users complained about a bug.

Android has got hold of an email purportedly sent by Samsung to a Galaxy SIII user clarifying the cause of the roll back of the Jelly Bean upgrade meant for the smartphone.

The email read, “This is in reference to your email received on date 15th of November, 2012 regarding updating of GT-I9300 (Galaxy S III) to Jelly Bean v4.1. We would like to inform you that update was released earlier by Samsung India for Galaxy S III but now it rolled back due to some technical reasons, so we request you to kindly co-operate with us till the future release of Android v4.1 (Jelly bean) for mentioned handset. Therefore; we are not in position to give you any official confirmation regarding the same.”

Since officially not announced yet, it is highly probable that the upgrade might miss the end of the year deadline.
