Samsung Galaxy S8 now available in Burgundy Red in India

The new edition of Galaxy S8 will be available across all retail outlets for Rs 49,990 with an additional Rs 10,000 worth of cashback on Paytm.

Samsung India has launched its last year flagship Galaxy S8 in a new Burgundy Red colour in India to add to its older Maple Gold, Orchid Gray and Midnight Black coloured variants that were released in 2017. The Burgundy Red Galaxy S8 will be abatable at all retail stores across the country from April 13 onwards for an asking price of Rs 49,990. The latest edition will join the rest of the Galaxy S8 lineup alongside the newest Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus which are already available in India.

Users will be able to avail a Rs 10,000 cashback on every purchase of the Burgundy Edition through the Paytm Mall, thus bringing the price of the phone to Rs 39,990. That’s significantly cheaper than its original price of Rs 57,990 at which it was launched in April last year. The Galaxy S8+, on the other hand, is available for an asking price of Rs 53,990.

The Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inch Infinity bezel-less display with a resolution and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The device is powered by an Exynos 8895 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The flagship phone was the first to come with the then new Bixby Virtual assistant and a dedicated button to trigger the same. The Galaxy S8 sports a 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera with an of f/1.7 in contrast to the variable aperture lens system of the latest Galaxy S9 lineup. The device supported wireless charging and came packed with a 3,000mAh battery.

Samsung India GM, Aditya Babbar said in a press statement “Galaxy S8 continues to be a bestseller, even a year after its launch. The limited edition of Galaxy S8 will set our consumers apart from everyone else. The Burgundy Red edition of Galaxy S8 will wow consumers and allow them to express their own personal style”.
