Samsung has started rolling out a new update to its older flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8. The new update brings improvements, new features and bug fixes.
The update comes with build number G950FXXU4DSCB and it brings March security patch to the table. The update brings camera improvements and the latest security patch. Interestingly, this is the second update in two weeks. The previous update improves the security of the smartphone.
Samsung rolled out the Android 9.0 Pie update, which is based on OneUI, for the Galaxy S8 last month. With this, users will get to experience the latest user interface from Samsung.. The latest UI features newly designed controls at the bottom with larger search box or text at the first half, which it claims will be easier to navigate as compared to its predecessor. Apart from this, users will be able to use new gesture controls, a new pill-shaped icon for navigations, refined notifications, and Quick Settings, vertical volume controls and new power menu among others.
To recollect key specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch Quad HD (2960 x 1440 pixels) Infinity display. The phone is powered by octa-core Exynos 8895 processor, which is clocked at 2.3GHz. The phone packs a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
For optics, the Galaxy S8 features a 12-megapixel rear camera with Dual Pixel technology and variable aperture. For the front, you get an 8-megapixel shooter with f/1.7 Aperture and smart autofocus.
