The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is a 5G Evolution capable device.

After the launch of the flagship Galaxy S8 and S8+, Samsung has now launched Galaxy S8 Active. While the smartphone features the same innards, the Galaxy S8 Active is a rugged version of the flagship, and Samsung claims it to be the toughest Galaxy smartphone to be ever built. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is only available in the US, and there is no word on when the device will be launched in India. “The smartphone will be available in stores on August 11 in either Meteor Gray or Titanium Gold. For a limited time, the latest Galaxy S8 Active device will be exclusively available from AT&T,” said Samsung.

The Galaxy S8 Active is designed around a metal frame with an improved and rugged structure. “It device is shock-, shatter-, water-, and dust-resistant,” claims Samsung. Samsung announced that the device is made with military-grade materials for the utmost durability. The back cover also has a rugged, tough texture for a secure grip.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is a Evolution capable device. Consumers can buy the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active on AT&T Next for $28.34 for 30 months.

As far as the specs are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active offers a 5.8-inch Quad (2960 x 1440 pixels) Infinity display which is curved on both sides. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. It comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera with Dual Pixel technology and f/1.7 and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with smart and aperture f/1.7.MP F1.7 Smart autofocus front camera.

Running the latest 7.0 Nougat OS and it is powered by a 3,000mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the device supports Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS and LTE.
