Samsung Galaxy S10e official-like renders hint dual cameras, edge-mounted fingerprint

Samsung will employ a 5.8-inch display on the Galaxy S10e, smaller than the one on the Galaxy S10. The display will also be a flat screen instead of the curved displays on the regular flagship variants. The back of the device will equip a dual-camera setup at the back, unlike that of the S10 and S10 Plus.

We saw the ‘almost’ official renders of the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus last week. With just weeks to go for the Unpacked event, another set of renders have started surfacing online and this time it’s the Galaxy S10e which we expect to be the stripped down version of the Galaxy S10.

Samsung is believed to employ a 5.8-inch display on the Galaxy S10e, smaller than the one on the Galaxy S10. Previously labelled as the Galaxy S10 Lite, the phone’s display will also be a flat screen instead of the curved displays on the regular flagship variants. WinFuture has also revealed that the back of the device will equip a dual-camera setup at the back, unlike that of the S10 and S10 Plus which are expected to feature three lenses for primary imaging.

In addition to all of this, Samsung will embed a fingerprint sensor at the edges of the Galaxy S10e. This will be in contrast to the in-display fingerprint scanners on the more expensive Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus variants. The edge-mounted fingerprint sensor will also double up as the power button because of which the volume buttons have been repositioned to the left of the phone.

While we’re still unsure of what will power the Galaxy S10e internally, it’s now likely that the device will come in a single 6GB + 128GB storage variant. It’ll also be fuelled by a 3,100mAh battery, which will be smaller than either of the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy S10e is expected to come in Black, White, Green, Blue and Yellow for an asking price of 749 euros (approx. Rs 61,450).
