In-Display Fingerprint scanner:
Samsung has added in-display fingerprint sensor in S10 which will utilize an ultrasonic approach( a single transducer is used to send and receive signal. The sensor determines the distance to a target by measuring time lapses between the sending and receiving of the ultrasonic pulse), as opposed to the optical sensor used by majority of handset brands.
Though it may not provide substantial speed improvements over the handsets that are competing, the ultrasonic approach offers more security and fidelity, but there's a drawback - regular screen protectors won't work with the handset.
