It seems that Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy Note 8, is experiencing some major problems. Multiple users are complaining that their units are freezing when they are trying to access contacts.
A large number of users are complaining about this problem at Samsung official’s forums. Most of these reports are occurring when users are trying to access the contacts app. “I am having this problem also. This is really upsetting since I was really looking forward to this phone after the Note 7 issues. Now I have to hard reset my phone a few times a week because it randomly freezes up on me. None of my previous phones ever did that,” one user said on the forums.
The problem is occurring whenever the user is using the contacts app like while making a call, tapping on contacts in the Phone app, tapping on contacts in the Message app, opening contacts, using contacts list, opening Phone and so on.

Further, once the device freezes, users have no other option but to force restart the device or the let the phone’s battery drain completely. Additionally, the problem is occurring in particular region of the US as well as Europe. Samsung is yet to provide an official statement on this matter.
