Samsung has started rolling out Android Oreo update for its two-year-old smartphone, the Galaxy J7 Prime. The latest update also brings a host of interesting features and the company’s latest UI Samsun Experience 9.5.
As per a report by GSMArena, the latest weighs around 1038.45 MB and carries version number G10FDXU1CRJ1. The new update brings a host of interesting features to the table. To start with, users will get improvements in Home Screen and there will be notification badges on App icons that will be linked to the notification panel. Then there are some improvements on Samsung Keyboard.
The update will also bring some important system improvements and improved battery life. Users will get new clock styles for the lock screen and one can also adjust the transparency of the notifications. Then there are improvements in Smart View, Samsung account and Samsung Cloud. Apart from this, users will also get all the goodness of Android Ore like picture-in-picture mode, notifications dot feature, Autofill API and more.
To recall, the smartphone was launched in India in September 2016. The phone comes loaded with a 5.5-inch Full HD display a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor, which is paired with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The Galaxy J7 Prime has a 3300 mAh battery and comes with S Bike mode.
On the camera front, the phone offers a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture. For the front, it is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera with Aperture f/1.9 and wide angle lens. Further, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G, WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/Glonass, and a Micro USB port.
