The Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge which was expected to launch in the United States on January 6 2017 has now finally gone official in the country. The Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge will be sold by Sprint as well as its prepaid brands, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile. The smartphone is the US-exclusive variant of the yet to be announced Galaxy J3 (2017) which has been already been spotted in various leaks before.
The Sprint model is already available for pre-order via Samsung US online store for $235 which is approximately Rs 16,014. The other two Galaxy J3 Emerge variants can only be purchased via major retailer Best Buy at the same price. Currently, all the three carriers are offering the Galaxy J3 Emerge in a silver color option. As per the Best Buy retailer, the Galaxy J3 Emerge will arrive in stock on January 25, but Samsung has not yet revealed when exactly the Sprint variant of Galaxy J3 Emerge will become available for purchase. However, it is expected to go on sale around the same time.
Recently, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge was also spotted with Android Nougat 7.0 operating system as the device got the WiFi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA) with the latest operating system.
The Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge comes with a 5 inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by a Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 1.5 GB RAM. The Galaxy J3 Emerge has a 5 megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 Aperture and 1080p video recording and a 2 megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture for photography.
Besides, running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, the Galaxy J3 Emerge comes with 16 GB of internal storage with expandable memory via microSD card and a removable 2600 mAh battery. For connectivity, the device comes with 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB port. The smartphone has Gyro, Accelerometer, Magnetic and Proximity sensors. The handset measures 140.9 x 70.1 x 8.7 mm and weighs 147 grams.
