Samsung Galaxy C5, Galaxy C7 gets FCC certification

Samsung Galaxy C5 & Galaxy C7 were launched in China last month.

Samsung Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7, which were launched in China last month, has now been approved by US’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable in the US. The FCC clearance means Samsung can now launch the smartphones in the USA.

There are two spec variants of Galaxy C5 – one with 32GB internal storage and other with 64GB internal storage. The 32GB variant is to cost 2199 yuan (approximately Rs 22,509) while its 64GB variant has a price tag of 2399 yuan (approximately Rs 24,556). The Galaxy C7 also comes in two variants – one with 32GB internal storage and other with 64GB internal storage. The 32GB variant is to cost 2599 yuan (approximately Rs 26,527) while its 64GB variant has a price tag of 2799 yuan (approximately Rs 28,563).
Galaxy C5
The Samsung Galaxy C5 offers a 5.2-inch display with full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 617 (4 x 1.5GHz + 4 x 1.2GHz) and Adreno 405 GPU. The phone has a 128GB expandable memory slot. The smartphone runs on 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and is backed up by a 2,600 battery. The device also features a fingerprint sensor on the home button.

The Samsung Galaxy C5 flaunts a 16-megapixel shooter on the back with dual-tone flash, f/1.9 and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. On the connectivity front, the device offers Hybrid Dual SIM, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and a port. The handset measures 145.9 x 72 x 6.7 mm and weighs 143 grams.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy C7 offers a 5.7-inch display with full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 GPU. The phone has 4GB RAM, 128GB expandable memory slot, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and a 3,300 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The device also features a fingerprint sensor on the home button.

The Samsung Galaxy C7 flaunts a 16-megapixel shooter on the back with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. On the connectivity front, the device offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and a micro USB port. The handset measures 156.6 x 77.2 x 6.7 mm and weighs 165 grams.
