Samsung has launched two new smartphones under Galaxy A series in China namely the Galaxy A9s and the Galaxy A6s. The Galaxy A9s is the very same Galaxy A9 (2018) smartphone which was launched in Malaysia recently as the world’s first smartphone with four rear cameras. On the other hand, Galaxy A6s is a mid-range phone with decent specs.
The Samsung Galaxy A9s is priced at 3,499 Yuan which is approx. Rs 36,945 and it will be available for purchase from November 11. The smartphone comes in Caviar Black, Lemon Blue and Bubblegum Pink colour options.
The Samsung Galaxy A6s comes in two variants – 64 GB and 128 GB Galaxy A6s priced at 1,799 Yuan (approx. Rs 18,986) and 2,199 Yuan (approx. Rs 23,208) respectively. The phone will be available from November 1 and it comes in Salang Black, Koi Red, Flower Purple and Flower Blue colours.
The Samsung Galaxy A9s features a 6.38-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 1080 x 2220 pixels resolution. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 660 Processor (Quad 2.2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone has 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be expandable to 512GB via micro SD card.
The phone comes with quad rear cameras. The phone has a 24-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, 10-megapixel Wide-Angle lens along with an f/2.4 Aperture and 2x optical zoom, 8-megapixel 120 degree Ultra Wide camera with f/2.4 aperture and 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth camera for shots with artificial bokeh. On the front, there is a 24-megapixel sensor along with an f/2.0 aperture. All the cameras are backed by the company’s own AI camera software, dubbed Intelligent camera feature. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the rear side of the phone.
Samsung Galaxy A9s runs Android 8 Oreo OS with Samsung Experience UI and is fueled by 3800mAh battery with adaptive fast charging. Connectivity features on the Galaxy A9 (2018) includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80, Bluetooth v5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC (Optional). The phone measures 162.5 x 77 x 7.8 mm and weighs 183 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy A6s comes equipped with 6 inches Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by Snapdragon 660 2.2GHz octa-core processor. The phone has 6GB RAM with 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage.
The device comes with the dual camera setup on the back – 12-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For the front, it has a 12-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The front camera also carries support for face unlock. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and comes packed with a 3,200mAh battery. The phone has 156.3 x 76.5 x 8.5mm dimensions and 184 grams weight.
