Seems Samsung is working on the successor of Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 as an unannounced Samsung smartphone been spotted on a GeekBench Benchmarking website with the model number “SM-A5300”. The device is said to be called the Samsung Galaxy A5 2018 or Galaxy A5 Pro. The listing has spilt some beans on the expected specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) came with the model number SM-A510x, while the Galaxy A5 (2017) model has SM-A520x, so it is expected that the new handset with SM-A5300 might be perhaps the Galaxy A5 (2018).
In the GeekBench listing, the SM-A5300 got 1591 points in single-core test and in multi-core test it received 5706 points. As per the listing on Geekbench, the Samsung phone has 6GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 1.84 GHz octa-core processor. The handset is based on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
There is no information about the pricing and availability of the device as yet, however, given the fact that it has been spotted GeekBench, it will not be much long before we see some new leaks revealing the pricing as well. So we request you to stay updated on our website for the same.
