The Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 which was earlier spotted on GFXBench and GeekBench benchmarking websites with the Android Nougat operating system has now got WiFi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA) with Android 7.0 Nougat onboard. The listing simply implies that Samsung is perhaps testing the latest software and may release the same for the device soon.
As per the listing, Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 will support single-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n (2.4GHz) and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity features. Sadly, the listing does not show any specifications except that the device will be powered by Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The listing also reveals that the smartphone boasts the model number as SM-A310F/DS with the certification ID WFA62561 and the date of certification being 12th April 2017. Since the device has got the got WiFi certification, we would expect the device to get Nougat update soon.
The specs revealed by the GFX and Geekbench listings were same which were revealed at the launch time except now it shows Android Nougat in the Operating System. The device was originally launched with Android Lollipop operating system and was later updated to Android Marshmallow.
As per the earlier GFX and GeekBench listing, Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) has a 4.7-inch display that has HD (1280×720 pixels) resolution and 5 finger gesture support. Besides, it has a 1.5 GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos 7580 processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage out of which 10GB is reserved for the users, Mali-T720 GPU and Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. There is no information about the battery or expandable memory in the listing.
Further, the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) has a 13-megapixel Autofocus rear camera and a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies. The GFX listing shows that the device has connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and WiFi. As per the listing, the device has an accelerometer, digital compass, light and proximity sensors.
