Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) spotted again with Nougat

The device was originally launched with Android Lollipop operating system.

The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) which was spotted on GFXBench benchmarking website with the Nougat operating system earlier this year has now again been spotted with Android Nougat. This time the device has appeared on GeekBench benchmarking website with the model number SM-A310F. This simply implies that Samsung is perhaps testing the latest software and may release the same for the device soon.

In the GeekBench listing, the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) got 615 points in single-core test and in muli-core test it received 3132 points. As per the listing on Geekbench, the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) has 1.5GB RAM and 1.50 GHz octa-core processor. The handset is based on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.

The specs revealed by the Geekbench listing are same which were revealed at the launch time except now it shows Android 7.1.1 Nougat in the Operating System. The device was originally launched with Android Lollipop operating system and was later updated to Android Marshmallow.

As per the earlier GFX listing, Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) has a 4.7-inch display that has (1280×720 pixels) resolution and 5 finger gesture support. Besides, it has a 1.5 GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos 7580 processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage out of which 10GB is reserved for the users, Mali-T720 and Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. There is no information about the battery or expandable memory in the listing.

Further, the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies. The GFX listing shows that the device has connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPS, and WiFi. As per the listing, the device has an accelerometer, digital compass, light and proximity sensors.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) comes with a 4.7 inch HD Super and runs on a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via micro SD card slot. The smartphone comes with a 2300 mAh battery, Android Lollipop operating system, 4G, WiFi (a/b/g/n), 4.1, 2.0 port and a host of other sensors. The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) also offers a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.
