It seems Samsung is finally expected to show off innovative foldable smartphone in 2018. As we reported earlier, Samsung might name the foldable devices as Galaxy X1 and Galaxy X1 Plus. However, a new report suggests that the devices may be named Galaxy X and Galaxy X Plus.
Latest media reports point thata Samsung phone with the model number SM-G888N0 has received its certification from the National Radio Research Agency (NRRA) in South Korea. The Device was listed as a radio equipment for global LTE communication, while it was spotted as a smartphone at the WiFi Alliance. Other rumours suggest that the foldable phones are tipped to feature a 4K display and there would be various forms of biometric authentication including iris, fingerprint, face and palm detection.

The reports further add that the company is planning to produce a small amount of the foldable smartphone and then assess the market response. And according to the feedback, will go further to develop more devices.
The company is expected to launch the foldable smartphone which will have a single flexible OLED screen and will arrive sometime after the dual-screen phone. The flexible smartphone can be considered as the next wave of revolution in the smartphone industry. Although there is no official word about this development, it would be interesting to see the upcoming foldable smartphone from Samsung’s arsenal.
