Redmi 8A Pro has now been spotted on the RF exposure page on Xiaomi's official website.

Redmi 8A was recently launched in India. Now seems like the company is working on a Pro version of the smartphone which will be dubbed as Redmi 8A Pro.

Redmi 8A Pro has now been spotted on the RF exposure page on Xiaomi’s official website. The new phone is listed alongside all the other phones on the RF exposure certification list, but it is not clickable at the moment. The RF exposure certification listing shows SAR (Specific Absorption Rate).

The page on Xiaomi’s website reads; “This mobile phone model 2014818 has been designed to comply with applicable safety requirements for exposure of radio waves”. However, no details for the upcoming smartphone have been revealed on the website. The listing hints that Redmi Note 8A Pro might be soon launched in India.

To recall, Redmi 8A comes in two variants – 2GB+32GB and 3GB+32GB priced at Rs 6,499 and Rs 6,999 respectively. It has a 6.2-inch display with a resolution of 1520 × 720 pixels. The phone doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor but it comes with face unlock feature. It is powered by a 2.0GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 439 processor coupled with upto 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. There is expandable storage of up to 512GB through a card.

Redmi 8A comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 18W support and Type C support. For the camera, the device comes loaded with a single 12-megapixel AI rear camera featuring Sony IMX363 sensor with an LED flash and an 8-megapixel AI sensor on the front for selfies. Software-wise, the phone runs 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 out of the box.

Connectivity features include VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, and FM Radio for connectivity. It weighs 190 grams and measures 156.3×75.4×9.4 mm.
