Redmi 7A was launched in China last month. Now after its China launch, the Xiaomi Redmi 7A has been confirmed to make its debut in India on July 4.
Flipkart has confirmed the launch date of the upcoming next Redmi A series phone in India. The e-commerce giant has a dedicated page for the phone which confirms that the Redmi 7A will be exclusive to Flipkart upon its launch in India.
The company has been teasing the launch of Redmi 7A on its social media channels for quite some days now. The 7A is being promoted as ‘Smart Desh Ka Smartphone’.
Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain revealed via a tweet that the Redmi 7A Indian variant will have a feature not available on the Chinese variant. His tweet says that the Redmi 7A will be getting a massive feature upgrade. This is a feature that is present on the Mi A2 and Redmi Note 7, and one that no other phone from other brands under the Rs 20,000. It is likely that the phone will come with features like Type C port, IR blaster. The rest of the specs should remain the same.
In China, the Redmi 7A is available for starting price of 549 Yuan which is approx. Rs 5,500 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant while the 2GB RAM and 32GB variant of the Redmi 7A in China is priced at 599 Yuan which is approx. Rs 6,000.
Redmi 7A features a 5.45-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display 1440 x 720 pixels screen resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by 2.0GHz octa-core (Quad 1.95GHz Cortex A53 + Quad 1.45GHz Cortex A53) Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC with Adreno 505 GPU. Both the variants come with an option of expanding the storage upto 256GB via microSD card.
The smartphone comes with a single 13MP AI rear camera along with LED flash, PDAF phase focus, AI beauty and on the front, it has a 5MP AI selfie shooter. Camera features include AI Beauty camera, AI Background Blur with AI Face Unlock support. The phone measures 146.30×70.41×9.55mm and weighs150 grams.
