Realme U1 price slashed again, now starts at Rs 9,999

Both the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option have received a price cut.

Realme U1 has again received a price cut in India. With this, the Helio P70-powered smartphone will now be available for a starting price of Rs 9,999. This is the second price cut the handset has received since its launch late last year.

Both the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option have received a price cut. The new prices are already reflecting on Amazon India and the Realme e-store as well. The Realme U1 comes in Fiery Gold, Ambitious Black, and Brave Blue colour options.

The news comes from Realme’s official Twitter handle which revealed that the smartphone will now be available for Rs 9,999 for 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and the 4GB RAM + 64GB variant is now priced at Rs 11,999.

In February, Realme U1 price was reduced to Rs 10,999 and Rs 13,499 respectively. So this time the phone has received a price cut of Rs 1,000 for the 3GB RAM variant and Rs 1,500 for the 4GB RAM variant. The same variants were initially launched for prices of Rs 12,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively.

To recall, theRealme U1 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ dewdrop display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 2.1GHz octa-core processor and ARM G72 GPU coupled with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. It’s backed by a 3500mAh battery and it runs on 8.1 Oreo, which is based on ColorOS 5.2.

There’s a dual camera set up at the back which equips a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, coupled with an LED flash. For the front, there is a 25-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 1.8-micron pixels, and 4-in-1 pixels tech and beautify feature that scans 296 facial recognition points and studio portrait lighting modes.
