Another Chinese smartphone manufacturer, QiKU, is set to enter the Indian market. The company today announced that it will enter the Indian market this month with two smartphones. QiKU was founded as a joint venture between Qihoo 360 and Coolpad.
The smartphone expected to be launched in India under the brand name QiKU are named as QIKU Terra 808 and QIKU Terra 810.
Couple of weeks back, QiKU Terra was launched in China. Through flash sales, QiKU claimed to have sold 35,000 units of QiKU Terra within 8 seconds of the sale. The QiKU Terra is priced at approximately $314 or approximately Rs 20,645 in China.
QIKU Terra 810 features a 6-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core Processor and has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has two 13-megapixel cameras (Sony’s IMX278 sensor, f/1.8 aperture) located on the back of this phone, while an 8-megapixel camera is in its front.
The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and is powered by a 3,700 mAh battery.The handset also sports a fingerprint scanner on the back.
QIKU Terra 808 also has the same specs, except that the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 818 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
