After a relatively dull first week, the second week of July saw quite a few new mobile phones. While Huawei added four new devices to its budget segment, Vivo, Panasonic, Micromax, LG, ZEN, Xolo, and Samsung also expanded their portfolios. Meanwhile, another Chinese handset brand, Elephone, entered the Indian market too.

The Xolo Era has a 5 inch IPS display with a Resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. This Android KitKat based smartphone has a quad-core 1.2 GHz Processor and 1 GB of RAM. The Vivo V1 is armed with a 5 inch HD IPS display and runs on Android Lollipop. It has a quad-core 1.4 GHz processor, which runs with 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory stands at 16 GB to which you can add another 128 GB via a microSD card. The phone offers a 13 megapixel primary camera and a 5 megapixel selfie shooter. The dual-SIM Vivo V1 has 4G, GPS, Bluetooth, and WiFi. For power there is a 2300 mAh battery.
The Panasonic Eluga Z has a 5 inch HD AMOLED ONCELL IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The phone runs on Android KitKat, and has an octa-core 1.4 GHz processor, which runs with 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory stands at 16 GB to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card.
Besides, the Eluga Z has a 13 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front camera, dual-SIM, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and a 2050 mAh battery.
The Huawei Y336 is armed with a 4 inch TFT display that has resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The Android KitKat smartphone is armed with a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, and a 1730 mAh battery. For storage, there is 4 GB of space inside and you can use a 32 GB microSD card in its expandable storage slot. Other than that it has a 5 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel selfie taker, dual-SIM with 3G, GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
The Huawei Y541 comes with a 4.5 inch TFT display with resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. It comes preinstalled with Android KitKat operating system on top of which lies the Emotion UI 3.0 interface. To run the handset there is a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor and 1 GB RAM while power is offered by a 1730 mAh battery. With internal memory of 8 GB and 32 GB expandable storage slot, it offers plenty of storage space too. The Huawei Y541 also offers 8 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel selfie taker, dual-SIM, 3G, GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth.

The Zen Sonic 1 has a 5 inch HD IPS and it runs on the latest Android Lollipop operating system. With a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor and 2 GB RAM, it seems quite a powerful smartphone as well. For storage, there is 16 GB of internal memory and it has a 32 GB microSD card slot as well.
The Sonic 1 has primary camera of 5 megapixel resolution and a a 2 megapixel selfie taker. The Zen Sonic 1 is a dual-SIM phone with 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, and WiFi for connectivity. Its 2000 mAh battery claims to offer up to 22 hours of talk time or 264 hours of standby.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V – Rs 10,600

This 7.3 mm sleek smartphone has a set up of 13 megapixel and 2 megapixel camera in the rear panel. The secondary 2 megapixel camera actually helps creating deapth, improving focus for improving post-capture image processing.
It comes with something called UbiFocus that allows users to focus and refocus on objects even after the image has been captured. As per Xolo, the camera of Xolo Black can focus in just 0.15 seconds. Its ChromaFlash enables the phone to retain natural colours and skin tones even in low light condition, claimed the company.
The Android Lollipop based Xolo Black has a 3200 mAh battery and comes with 2 Amp charger. Besides, Xolo said that due to the inclusion of Quick Charge 1.0 technology, the phone can be charged in quick time – 50 per cent in under an hour and 100 per cent in 2.5 hours.
Besides, the Xolo Black offers a 5 megapixel front camera, 2nd Gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa core processor that comes in 64 bit architecture. The device has 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, 32 GB expandable storage slot and has USB OTG functionality as well.
