Phicomm Passion 660 price slashed by Rs 2,000

The 4G enabled Phicomm Passion 660 was launched earlier this year in India at Rs 10,999.

Chinese handset maker, Phicomm has slashed the price of its flagship smartphone, the Phicomm Passion 660, to Rs 8,999. The smartphone was launched in India in June this year at Rs 10,999. Phicomm Passion 660 is exclusively available on Amazon India in Black and White color variants.

However, at the time of writing, the handset was still retailing at its original price of Rs 10,999. Since the announcement of price reduction came today, we expect it to be implemented by Amazon in a short while.

Phicomm Passion 660 features a 5-inch FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. It is powered by 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor and decent 2 GB RAM but has the older Android 4.4.4 Kitkat operating system (OS is optimized with EXPECT 5.0 UI), though company promises Android Lollipop upgrade soon.

Phicomm Passion 660 sports a 13 megapixel auto focus camera and an LED flash in its rear panel and offers a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. For storage, the handset offers 16 GB of internal storage which is further expandable to up to 64 GB via a micro SD card. It has decent 2300 mAh removable battery.

Passion 660 offers 4G, dual SIM (Micro+Nano/SD), WiFi (802.11 b/g /n), WiFi direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ AGPS and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The handset measures 139×69×7.3 mm and weighs 110 grams. Sensors include- G-sensor,L-sensor,P-Sensor, E-compass, Barometer, Step-counter sensor, Gesture sensor.
