Last month, we reported that Samsung is planning to announce a new variant of Galaxy S7 Edge in Glossy Black colour soon. Now according to SamMobile, Samsung is going to launch the Pearl Black variant on December 9 in South Korea which will also feature a glossy back.
The other colour options currently available are Black Onyx, Gold Platinum, White Pearl, Pink Gold variant and Silver Titanium colours. The South Korean giant also announced the Blue Coral variant of Galaxy S7 edge last month. However, in India the company only sells the Onyx, Silver and Gold variants. Moreover, the new colour variants are said to be Samsung’s strategy to help get over customers over the Note 7 fiasco. 
Recently, a bunch of live images of Samsung Galaxy S7 edge surfaced online which revealed a Glossy Black Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge variant fetauring 128GB of internal storage. The images were leaked on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo by a Samsung representative. Interestingly, as per the leaked images, the Pearl (Glossy) black Galaxy S7 Edge appeared to have the same look and finish as Apple’s Jet Black color option for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
Recalling the specifications, the Galaxy S7 Edge has a 5.5-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display. Underneath the hood, we get an Octa-Core 2.3 GHz Exynos 8890 Chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB Internal storage which is further expandable up to 256 GB via microSD card. Moreover, as the name suggests, the S7 Edge boasts an edge display, like the S6 Edg and is also water and resistant and comes with IP68 certification.
For the camera, the device sports a 12-megapixel camera with F1.7 aperture. Besides, the rear camera of S7 Edge is armed with phase detection Autofocus (PDAF) technology, motion panorama, motion photo, and hyper lapse features. Up front, It has a 5-megapixel front camera that comes with wide selfie mode.
Being a Dual SIM device, the Galaxy S7 Edge sports a hybrid dual SIM (the SIM2 slot can be used for micro SD card or the SIM2). In terms of battery, the Galaxy S7 Edge packs a 3600 mAh battery which supports wireless charging with Quick charging facilities.
