Noted Japanese PC maker, Vaio, has released a new Android phone which is named as Vaio Phone A. The smartphone is priced at 24,800 Yen which is approximately Rs 14,567 and it will be available in Japan on April 7. The pre-orders for the same will start from March 30 in Japan. It will be available in Silver colour option. This is not the first time that the company has entered into the smartphone domain , as last year they had launched a smartphone based on Windows 10 operating system –Vaio Phone Biz.
The Phone A has the same specs as of Vaio Phone Biz except for the operating system. While the Vaio Phone A runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, the Vaio Phone Biz runs on Window 10 operating system.
The Vaio Phone A has an aluminium body and a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617octa-core processor with Adreno 405. The smartphone has 3 GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and an expandable memory via micro SD card slot. It has a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera for selfies. The smartphone is backed up by a 2800 mAh battery. Further, the smartphone offers WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), WiFi hotspot, GPS/AGPS and Bluetooth 4.2. The handset measures 156 x 77 x 8.3 mm and weighs 167 grams.
To recall, the 8.3 mm sleek Vaio Phone Biz is 156.1 mm tall and 77 mm wide. It is powered by an octacore 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 617 processor and 3 GB RAM. The Phone Biz has a 5.5 inch display that offers full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution. The silver coloured phone has 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded by up to 64 GB through a micro SD card. The Vaio Phone Biz is compatible with 4G networks and offers the WiFi (b/g/n/ac). There is Bluetooth 4.0 and a micro USB port for file transfer. The Vaio Phone Biz has a 2800 mAh battery. It has a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera.
