Months after introducing the Toughbook FZ-T1 and Toughbook FZ-L1 rugged Android devices in India, Panasonic has announced the launch of the Panasonic Eluga Ray 800 as its latest entrant to the budget smartphone market. The Panasonic Eluga Ray 800 will be available for an asking price of Rs 9,999 across all e-commerce platforms and leading retail outlets in India.
The Eluga Ray 800 features a 5.5-inch FHD display with an unknown version of Corning Gorilla Glass. It’s powered by an octa-core processor that clocks in at 1.8Ghz and is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The device packs in a 4,000mAh battery and runs on Android 7 Nougat.
On the camera department, the Panasonic smartphone features a 13MP Auto Focus (AF) rear camera and an 8MP front camera supported with a flash. The interval mode in the camera allows users to click multiple photos in one go and select the best shot.
Additionally, the Eluga Ray 800 is equipped with the Arbo Hub which integrates artificial intelligence to track and pick-up the user’s daily activity patterns and prompts the user to do things as per the schedule. It also allows the users to keep their smartphones uncluttered by replacing multiple apps with one. Additionally, the device comes with a fingerprint sensor.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi and Bluetooth. The Eluga Ray 800 weighs in at 162 grams and measures at 152.8 x 75.3 x 8.6mm.
