Panasonic India today released a smartphone, Eluga Mark, with fingerprint sensor at Rs 11,990. It is available in gold and metallic grey finish.
The Panasonic Eluga Mark is based on the Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS and runs on a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon octa core processor. It comes loaded with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, and offers a 32GB micro SD slot. The smartphone has a 13 megapixel rear camera optimized by LED flash and a 5 megapixel front facing lens.
The Panasonic Eluga Mark is equipped with 4G/LTE connectivity, GPS with A-GPS, dual SIM, a 2500 mAh battery and boasts a 5.5-inch IPS display with high definition (1280×720 pixels resolution). The Eluga Mark measures 152 x 77 x 8.2 mm and has WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, WiFi Direct and Bluetooth 4.0.
The Eluga Mark comes with the FitHome user interface engineered exclusively by Panasonic which, as per the company, enables single thumb-flick access to applications on the home screen.
Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Rana, business Head – mobility division, Panasonic India, said, “With the growing use of smartphones for a wider range of high-risk activities such as access to cloud data and private information, mobile security is a top priority for users. This control-sensitive device, which achieves complex tasks with the press of a finger or a swipe of the thumb, is personalized for the user and protects the smartphone investment.”
He further added, “We are approaching an end of the year which brings our portfolio for 2015 to a total of 16 new devices launch with a few more to come. In 2016 we would be focusing on “Make in India” and 4G enabled devices by targeting international markets and regions.”
