Panasonic has today announced the launch of its latest selfie-centric budget smartphone known as Eluga I2 Activ. The 2GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 7,990, while the 1GB RAM version comes with a price tag of Rs 7,190 and it will be available in three colour variants namely Gold, Rose Gold and Grey.
The smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD display with a screen Resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor. The phone comes with 1GB/2GB of RAM and is backed by a 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card slot.
On the camera front, the device sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with Autofocus and LED flash, while for the front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone is backed by a 2200mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio, Dual-SIM and Micro USB 2.0 port.

A recent research by Counterpoints Research stated that nearly 33% of users prioritize a better selfie camera or fingerprint sensor for their next smartphone purchase.”
