Just three months after launching with an in-display fingerprint sensor and triple rear cameras in India, Oppo has reduced the price of its R17 Pro smartphone by Rs 6,000. The Oppo R17 Pro can now be purchased for an asking price of Rs 39,990 across offline and online stores in India.
The new price revision comes just months after the Oppo R17 Pro was launched alongside its cheaper sibling – the Oppo R17 back at the start of December. The device is available for the new price on Amazon as well as at offline retailers across the country and it applies to customers purchasing any of the Radiant Mist and Emerald Green colour variants.
To recall, the Oppo was launch for an asking price of Rs 45,990 in December. The phone comes with a waterdrop notch design and it features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED on-cell panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 16 million colours and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 710 processor with Adreno 616 GPU and comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB Internal Memory without any microSD card slot for expandable memory.
For the camera department, the Oppo R17 Pro comes equipped with the triple rear camera setup with a combination of a 12-megapixel primary sensor with a variable Aperture (f/1.5-2.4) and OIS and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.6 aperture, coupled with an LED flash. The third Time of Flight (TOF) 3D sensing camera is a TOF 3D stereo camera captures 3D photos. The front camera houses a 25-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, AI, Sony IMX576 sensor, 3D Portrait.
The R17 Pro also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone has a 3700mAh capacity battery with Super VOOC Flash Charge technology which claims to achieve 40% charge in just 10 minutes. It runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 out of the box. Connectivity features include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB 3.1 Type-C and NFC. It has 157.6 × 74.6 × 7.9mm dimensions and 183 grams weight.
