Chinese manufacturer Oppo has now confirmed that the company will be launching the Oppo R17 in India soon. Earlier Oppo teased the launch of R17 series on its social media handles leaving people wondering which phone the company is actually going to launch.
Oppo Mobile India on its official Instagram handle today has revealed the name of the phone to be launched. The post reads “A mesmerising device to look forward to – #OPPOR17. Stay tuned. #OPPO #OPPORSeries #RSeries #ComingSoon #Smartphone”. The post has no doubt confirmed that Oppo R17 will be launched in the country.
There are four R-series smartphones – the Oppo R17, R17 Pro, R17 Neo and R15x. Out of them, R17 will be launched at the event.
Oppo R17 was launched in China in August this year at 3499 Yuan which is approximately Rs 35,600. Oppo R17 features a 6.4-inch (2280 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, 91.5% screen-to-body ratio and an aspect ratio of 19:9. A 1.7GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 670 Processor powers the smartphone with Adreno 615 GPU.
For the camera department, the Oppo R17 has a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture and 5-megapixel secondary rear camera. It has a 25-megapixel front-facing camera with AI Portrait mode, f/2.0 aperture, and Sony IMX576. Oppo R17 runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with ColorOS 5.2 and is backed up by 3500mAh battery with VOOC flash charge

TheOppo R17 has 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor that can unlock the phone in 0.41 seconds. For connectivity features, it has various features like Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 and USB-C port. For dimensions, it measures 157.5 × 74.9 × 7.5mm and it weighs 182grams.
