Oppo is all set to launch its selfie-centric Oppo F5 smartphone in India on 2nd November. The company has already sent media invites for a curtain-raiser event scheduled to take place in Mumbai on the said date. Oppo India has been teasing on its official Twitter handle for the past few days with #CaptureTheRealYou hashtag regarding its upcoming launch and now it has been confirmed that the new smartphone will be launched exclusively on Flipkart. The famous e-commerce website is running a teaser hinting the availability of the device on the platform.
Oppo F5 was recently launched in Philippines. The Oppo F5 comes with 4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. The device is priced at 15990 Philippine Peso which is approximately Rs 19,985 for 4GB RAM version.
The main highlight of the device is the front-facing 20-megapixel camera with 1/2.8 inch sensor, Aperture f/2.0. The selfie camera comes with AI technology which promises clear and beautiful selfies and can be used to unlock the device using facial recognition. As per the company, it offers bokeh effect and can scan 200 facial recognition spots to beautify a selfie shot perfectly. As for the rear camera, the device has 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/1.8 aperture.
As for the rest of the specifications are concerned, the smartphone sports a 6-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and Corning Glass 5 protection and a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by 2.5GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 16nm processor with 800MHz ARM Mali G71 MP2 GPU. The phone is backed by a 4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back panel just below the camera. It comes with O-share – a wireless transfer technology that promises 100 times faster transfers compared to Bluetooth.
