Oppo is all set to launch a refreshed version of Oppo A9 smartphone in India next week, which is named as Oppo A9 2020. The company has also started sending media invites for the launch event scheduled to take place on September 10th. Recently, Oppo A9 2020 was spotted on the official Oppo Vietnam Facebook page with few key specifications and company has also started teasing the Oppo A9 2020 smartphone in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Pakistan as well. Now before the official announcement in India or other regions, The Mobile Indian has got its hand on the key specifications of upcoming Oppo A9 2020 through Oppo’s official event page in Vietnam.
The Oppo A9 2020 will feature a 6.5-inch Waterdrop notch display with protection against blue light, 89% screen-to-body ratio and uses dynamic pixel adjustment technology, which enables the user to read the screen under strong sunlight. The Oppo A9 2020 has 3D body design with gradient finish. The smartphone is confirmed to feature a 48MP quad-camera setup and it will come armed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Chipset with Adreno 610 GPU. The phone will also feature Game Boost 2.0, a combination of Frame Boost and Touch Boost, which enhances the gaming experience.
The Oppo A9 2020 will have an 8GB LPDDR4x Dual Channel RAM with 64GB/128GB of UFS 2.1 storage option. The phone will have three card slots (2 sims + microSD Card slot). User can expand the storage up to 265GB via MicroSD card. The phone will house a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Oppo A9 2020 will come packed with 5000mAh battery with Power Sharing feature, which will allow users to charge other smartphones through this device. Further, the company claims that the user can watch nonstop videos for up to 16 hours on a single charge. As of now, the company has not revealed the camera sensor details on the event page. However, thanks to recent TENAA certification website listing, that we are well aware of the rest of the details.
As per TENAA certification website, the Oppo A9 2020 will have HD+ display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and will have a quad rear camera setup with 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture, LED flash, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.25 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 Aperture and another 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For the front, the phone will carry a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. Further, the smartphone will run on ColorOS 6.1 based on Android 9.0 Pie. The device will measure 163.6×75.6×9.1mm and will weigh around 195 grams. The phone is expected to be priced around Rs 20,000 in India
