OnePlus 7T future update will bring 960fps Slow Motion Mode, 4K ultra-wide recording

The OnePlus 7T ships with Android 10 out-of-the-box, so the phone will receive those features via an incremental update in coming days.

OnePlus 7T smartphone was recently launched in India for a starting price of Rs 37,999. Now as per a new report, a future update will bring 960fps Slow Motion Mode and ultra-wide video recording to the smartphone.

XDA-Developersreports that OnePlus now has officially announced that the new update will allow OnePlus 7T users to shoot record 960fps slow-motion videos at 720p (HD). At the moment, the phone supports 480fps slow-motion video at 720p resolution and the on the OnePlus 7T isn’t capable of recording 960FPS which is frames per second, so it will likely use some sort of interpolation to achieve those frames.

Apart from this, another feature that a future update will bring to OnePlus 7T is the ability to record 4K video at 30fps using its ultra-wide camera. Currently, OnePlus 7T can record videos using the camera but only up to 1080p resolution. This will help a user to get better quality video using the wide-angle camera.

The OnePlus 7T ships with 10 out-of-the-box, so the phone will receive those features via an incremental update in coming days.

OnePlus 7T is priced at Rs 37,999 for the base variant of 8GB + 128GB of internal storage while the 8GB RAM with 256GB of internal storage is priced at Rs 39,999. It comes in Glacier Blue and Frosted Silver colour options.

OnePlus 7T comes with a matte-frosted glass finish at the back. It has a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED FullHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate, 2400×1080 pixels resolution, HDR10+ support,3D protection and 402 ppi pixel density. It runs on OxygenOS based on Android 10 and is backed by a 3,800mAh battery with WARP Charge 30T support.

The phone is powered by a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus coupled with an Adreno 640 GPU. There is no expandable storage option on the phone. OnePlus 7T also features an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.

For the camera department, OnePlus 7T is equipped with a triple rear camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary camera with ƒ/1.6 aperture, 1/2.25″ Sony IMX586 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, OIS, EIS, 4K 60fps, Super Slow Motion 1080p at 240 fps, 720p at 960fps. The second is 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera with 117-degree field of view, 2.5cm macro and ƒ/2.2 aperture, then there is third 12-megapixel Telephoto lens with 2X zoom and ƒ/2.2 aperture. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor with ƒ/2.0 and EIS for selfies and video calling.
