OnePlus 5 getting OxygenOS 4.5.15 update

The OxygenOS 4.5.15 is based on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

OxygenOS update has always been OnePlus’s top priority. After releasing the OxygenOS 4.7.4 for OnePlus 5T handsets, the company has started rolling out the OxygenOS 4.5.15 update for OnePlus 5 devices.

The OxygenOS 4.5.15 is based on the 7.1.1 Nougat. The Over-The-Air(OTA) update comes with October’s Android Security patch, GPS improvements, fixes for customised alarm ringtones and sharing with Bitmoji, and general bugs fixes.

Currently, the update has only reached a few users but expected to hit all devices in few day. In order to check the update, one will have to go to settings>system update.

Other than this, OnePlus has also launched a beta Oreo beta build for OnePlus 5, last month. The OnePlus 5 users can now enjoy the latest Android 8.0 via the first ever Open Beta update. Since this one is a public beta programme, anyone can participate and download the Open Beta 1, if you own a OnePlus 5.

Meanwhile,OnePlus has announced a new limited edition Star Wars variant of the OnePlus 5T, in India. The company released a teaser video to confirm the launch, at the Comic-Con Bangalore Event. The price ofthe smartphone is not disclosed yet but expected to be disclosed before the device goeson sale from December 15.
