Looks like OnePlus is working hard to release the Android Nougat update for its latest flagship OnePlus 3. According to a report from Engadget, Brian Yoon, Head of Software, has now confirmed that the Nougat Community Build will be released this month with the stable release scheduled for next month.
Community Builds are OnePlus’s way of testing the beta versions of the next update so that it can filter out all the known bugs before it releases the stable update over-the-air.
Not only this, Yoon also confirmed that the company is working on Android 7.0 Nougat update for OnePlus 2 though he didn’t give any timeframe for the same.
Earlier this year, OnePlus announced that it will be merging the teams working on HydrogenOS and OxygenOS to provide faster updates and it seems to be working so far.
Further, OnePlus is also set to launch OnePlus 3T on November 15. The new version of company’s this year flagship is expected to come with Snapdragon 821, better camera, more storage and Android Nougat out of the box. All this with a price increase of Rs 5,000.
Other companies like LG and Samsung has also started rolling out Android Nougat update for their flagships with the latest one being Samsung who began Galaxy Update Program for S7 and S7 Edge yesterday.
