OnePlus 3 and 3T are updated to Android 8.0 Oreo: Here’s what is new!

OnePlus has started rolling out the official build of the latest 8.0 Oreo for two of its popular flagship devices, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. The update is pushed via (over the air) to a small number of users, but soon more handsets will be updated to the latest version.

With the latest updates, users of both the smartphones will get some interesting functions including parallel apps, picture-in-picture mode, auto-fill, smart text selection, quick setting design, updated security patch of September. Further, the brand has added some customization to the Launcher as well. Users will now get notification dots, new folder design and users will be able to upload photos directly to Shot on OnePlus.

Interestingly, the OnePlus 3 and 3T users are getting the latest update before the OnePlus 5 and recently-launched OnePlus 5T. The company already confirmed that the OnePlus 5T will get the latest beta update of Android Oreo in late November and the phone will receive the official build in early 2018.

To recall, the smartphone was launched on November 21 at an event in New York. OnePlus 5T comes with a price tag Rs 32,999 for the 6GB variant, while the 8GB RAM option comes with a price tag of Rs 37,999. The phone will be available in India starting from November 21 and it will be exclusively available on Amazon.
