OnePlus has officially announced that it has started the registrations for a closed beta programme based on Android Pie for its older OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.
The OnePlus 3/3T users need to register for the closed beta programme by going to the company’s official forum. The company has revealed that registration will close on Saturday, March 23 at 2 PM GMT. However, being part of Closed Beta testing will require flashing builds very often and sometimes a clean flash is needed, which might cause data loss.
One can expect the company to roll out the open beta programme for Android Pie on the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T to be rolled out soon. The company announced that both the smartphones will get Pie update in July last year.
Previously, the company rolled out a new update that the latest Android security updates and renders support for the company’s Type-C Bullets Earphones which enables the headphones by default.
The update to OxygenOS 5.0.7 weighs in at 71MB and will be available as an OTA update that will be rolled out in a phased manner. OnePlus has included the latest November 2018 Android Security patches and will be updated on a regular basis till the end of November 2019.
