The first official version of Pinterest application, a content sharing social network, has been released for the Google Android platform. The new Pinterest for Android allows the users to connect with fellow users, pin, re-pin and share web content through the app.
Users get to browse the pinboards created by other users, comment on them and continue to use their online account from the phone.
Pinterest offers a virtual pinboard where users can pin/bookmark the favourite, interesting and noteworthy web content which could be images or videos. These pins and re-pins from other’s pinboards can be organised in different sets.
The app offers interesting categories to browse and look for the web content that could grab the users’ interest. Users can always use the phone’s camera to capture an image and PIN it on their pinboard. While browsing the pinboards, users can easily re-pin the pinned content.
The new Pinterest for Android app is available through the Google Play Store.
