Professional and business-like social network LinkedIn has finally released its official App for Windows Phone platform. Microsoft had earlier talked about LinkedIn integration along with Twitter natively on Windows Phone platform. Now LinkedIn has released a standalone app for Windows Phone 7.5.
The first version of LinkedIn app for Windows Phone allows a registered user to post updates and even track updates from the account contacts. The application makes use of the Metro UI and brings basic functionality to the palm of the user.
With the new app, users can even search for new potential contacts, send out invites to connect; manage groups and send messages. It is possible to configure and pin the app to the homescreen amongst other tiles to act as a Live Tile. Besides that, the app also offers push notifications.
LinkedIn already has an app for iOS and Android, but for BlackBerry it is not yet available on new 7.1 OS devices.
