Nubia M2, Nubia M2 Lite and Nubia N2 smartphones unveiled

The Nubia M2 has a dual rear camera setup at the back with both the sensors coming in at 13-megapixels.

Nubia has today launched the Nubia M2 smartphone in China. The smartphone is priced at 2699 Yuan or approximately Rs 25,542 for 64GB version and 2999 Yuan or approximately Rs 28,352 for the 128GB version. The Nubia M2 comes in two colour variants – Black Gold and Champagne Gold.

Along with the Nubia M2, the company also unveiled two other smartphones – Nubia M2 Lite and Nubia N2. The Nubia M2 Lite is a cheaper varint of Nubia M2 and the Nubia N2 is the successor to the Nubia N1 which was launched in India last year for Rs 11,999.

Nubia M2 is armed with a 5.5-inch full Super AMOLED 2.5D display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and protection. It is powered by Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 2GHz octa-core processor, Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM. There is 64GB/128GB of internal storage in the phone apart from which it has an expandable storage slot that can hold a micro SD card of up to 200GB capacity. The smartphone runs on 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Nubia UI 4.0 and comes fitted with a 3630 mAh battery with NeoCharge technology. A fingerprint sensor is integrated into the physical home button on the front of the device.

The Nubia M2 has a dual rear camera setup at the back with both the coming in at 13-megapixels, with one RGB camera sensor and another being a black and white sensor. Both the sensors are protected by Sapphire glass lens and feature f/2.2 and NeoVision 6.0 camera technology. At the front, there is a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies. Besides, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM, LTE with VoLTE support, USB Type-C port, WiFi 802.11 ac, support, Dolby Surround 7.1, and TruSignal Enhancement technology.

The cheaper variant of Nubia M2 which is named as Nubia M2 Lite has less powerful specifications. The Nubia M2 Lite price starts at 1799 Yuan which is approximately Rs 17,010. The difference in the two is that Nubia M2 Lite comes with a single rear camera of 13 megapixel instead of dual camera set up of 13-megapixel in Nubia M2. The rear camera comes with f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens, and dual tone LED flash. On the front, it sports the same 16-megapixel front camera as Nubia M2.

The Nubia M2 Lite comes in two variants – 3GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 4GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage. Both the variants are expandable to 128GB via micro sd card. It will features the same 5.5 inch full HD display like Nubia M2 with octa-core 64-bit processor with an unknown chipset. The Nubia M2 Lite runs on Android Nougat operating system and will be backed up by 3000 mAh battery with 5V/2A fast charging support. The M2 Lite also comes with a front facing home button featuring the fingerprint sensor. The device measures 155.73 x 76.7 x 7.5 mm and weighs 164 grams.

Nubia has announced another new smartphone which is named as Nubia N2. The Nubia N2 sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixel. Under the shell, the device is powered by a MediaTek octa-core processor. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via card. It also has a fingerprint scanner which sits on its back panel.

The Nubia N2 sports a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash for selfies. It also has a 13-megapixel camera at the rear with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash support. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Nubia UI on top of it. The smartphone is powered by a massive 5000mAh battery that can give 60 hours of and includes 18W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4.1, GPS and USB Type -C-Port.

The Nubia N2 is priced at 1999 Yuan which is approximately Rs 18,907 and will be available for sale starting April 8.
