PureView was purchased by Microsoft a few years ago when it purchased Nokia's Devices and Services business.
HMD Global is working on its upcoming flagship smartphone, which will be named as Nokia 9 PureView. The name has been confirmed by Roland Quandt of WinFuture.de on his Twitter handle.
From the past few months, we have been hearing rumours regarding the Nokia 9 as the next flagship smartphone from HMD. Now according to his tweet, HMD Global upcoming flagship will be Nokia 9 PureView.

A couple of months ago HMD Global acquired the PureView brand trademark. The brand was lent to Microsoft during the acquisition deal. PureView was purchased by Microsoft a few years ago when it purchased Nokia's Devices and Services business. The Nokia 808 PureView was launched back in 2012 with a 41-megapixel camera, Now the latest information has confirmed that the next Nokia flagship will have Pureview branding with impressive camera features.
Meanwhile Nokia Malaysia's Facebook page also today confirmed Nokia 9 PureView name. The post says “Coming soon. Nokia 9 with 5 Camera Zeiss Lenses & Pureview”.
The specifications of Nokia 9 PureView haven’t been revealed yet. As per rumours, the smartphone will have a primary 22MP camera. Earlier Leaked images have shown the alleged Nokia 9 phone with five rear cameras and Zeiss branding. Other rumoured specifications include a large 5.7-inch Quad-HD POLED screen, coupled with a Snapdragon 845 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone is also rumoured to be the first Nokia smartphone sporting an in-display fingerprint sensor.
