The Finland based HMD Global has scheduled an event on December 5 in Dubai in which the company is expected to launch Nokia 8.1. Now ahead of the launch, the company has teased the launch of new smartphone in India on various social media platform.
Nokia Mobile Indian Twitter handle has posted about the coming of a new phone to the country alongwith a video. The tweet reads "The picture's about to get rosy with an epic viewing experience. Get ready to #ExpectMore".
The video shows a red background with roses and reveals the smartphone with a display notch. The video indicates that the upcoming Nokia phone could be launching in Lush Red colour. The likely device to come in this color is the upcoming Nokia 8.1 However, the tweet doesn’t reveal the name of the smartphone to be launched. It does not even show the launch date and price.

The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 2.2GHz octa-core processor. It will likely have three variants - 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB storage. All the variants are expandable up to 400GB via micro SD card slot. The phone is expected to have a 12-megapixel primary lens and 13-megapixel secondary sensor and a 20-megapixel front camera. It will run on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system which will be upgradable to Android 9 Pie and will be backed up by a 3400mAh battery with fast charging support.
