Nokia’s new camera centric flagship device – 808 PureView smartphone has received its first firmware update. This new firmware update for Nokia 808 PureView brings several under the hood bug fixes along with very few easily visible improvements. The early adopters of 808 PureView can download the update which is just 600 KB in size, over the air.
AllAboutSymbian spotted the firmware update on 808 PureView and got down to testing on their device.
Early adopters of Nokia 808 PureView smartphones did notice some minor issues such as Wi-Fi being often disconnected. Other than that, there were no major issues noticeable in the new 808 PureView.
The improvements with the firmware v112.020.0310 for the Nokia 808 PureView makes the scrolling smoother in all applications. Saving the images captured in full 38 megapixel Resolution is relative faster. The automatic screen rotation is smoother.
More such firmware updates in smaller file sizes will continue to be pushed over the air. But if you want to download it via PC then the file size will be relatively higher.
Nokia 808 PureView features a 4-inch Amoled clear black display with 640×360 pixel resolution and has been built using Corning Gorilla Glass technology for more strength. It features a 41 Megapixel CMOS sensor with f/2.4 Aperture and focus range 15cm to infinity. It also features Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon Flash for supporting great quality images. Packing a 1400 mAh battery, this smartphone houses a 1.3 GHz ARM 11 based mobile processor and features 16 GB on-board storage. The Nokia 808 PureView retails for about Rs 33,899 but can be purchased for best price of Rs 30,995 online.
