HMD Global will launch its first flagship, the Nokia 8, smartphone on August 16 at an event in London. Nokia might unveil the 3G version of the Nokia 3310 handset as well during the event. The Nokia 8 smartphone is confirmed to feature a dual-lens camera setup at the back. Reports suggest that the camera will be powered by Carl-Zeiss optics along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The smartphone will run the latest Android 7.1.1 operating system. The Nokia 8 is expected to come in Steel, Gold/Copper, Blue and Gold/Blue colours.
While there are no confirmed reports, Nokia could launch the Nokia 9 smartphone as well. As far as Nokia 9 is concerned, It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, the Snapdragon 835 and it will be the first Nokia device to feature ‘Nokia OZO Audio’ enhancements.
It may feature a 5.5-inch QHD OLED display, along with Adreno 540 GPU. It will come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The smartphone will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system and will be backed up by a 3800mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick-Charge 4 support. On the camera front, the smartphone will sport a 22-megapixel dual Carl-Zeiss rear camera and a 12-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
As far as the Nokia 8 is concerned, the smartphone will feature a 5.3-inch QHD display with Dual-SIM support, 4GB of RAM and 64GB (with microSD card support) of internal storage. The Nokia 8 is expected to cost above Rs 40,000 in India.
