Nokia 6 Android Oreo beta update now rolling out in India

The company says that it will soon roll out the stable version of the latest update as well.

HMD Global has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo beta update for its Nokia 6 smartphone in India. The company says that it will soon roll out the stable version of the latest update as well.

The company’s Chief product officer, Juho Sarvikas, has announced this news on his official Twitter handle. The tweet reads, “We are starting today Oreo Beta Labs roll out for #Nokia6 in India. I understand that some of you may have been waiting for this. Remember that Beta Labs is a test platform and commercial release is well on track. Please jump in and give us your feedback!!!”. To recall, the brand already started rolling out Android Oreo beta update in other countries as well.

The latest beta update is about 1.8GB and carries the version number 5.140. The latest update also carries December 2017 security patch as well. However, it is important to note that it is just a beta update and it might be unstable in nature.



The update is available on Nokia’s beta labs website. Nokia 6 users have to sign up on the website using the number. After that, they will get the beta update over the air after 12 hours.
