Nokia 5 to go on an offline sale in India on August 15

The Nokia 5 is priced at Rs 12,899, and will be available exclusively through offline retail stores.

Nokia 5 smartphone along with Nokia 6 was last month reported to be available for sale in mid-August. Now as per the report of Nokiapoweruser, the Nokia 5 will go on sale via offline channels starting tomorrow i.e August 15. The pre-orders for the smartphone already started on July 7 in India.

The Nokia 5 is priced at Rs 12,899 and will be available exclusively through offline retail stores. The premium of all, Nokia 6 will be available will be available on Amazon India from August 23 for which Amazon has already started taking pre-registration for the sale from last month. For now, only Nokia 3 is available for purchase through offline and online stores which come with a starting price of Rs 9,499.

As per the report, the Nokia 5 will be available only in select cities including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Pune via offline retailers like Sangeetha Mobiles, Poorvika, Big C in Hyderabad and Croma. Nokia 5 comes in tempered blue, silver, matte black, and copper colour options.

Nokia 5 features a 5.2-inch 2.5D curved IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. Underneath the hood, the device will be powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, paired with Qualcomm Adreno 505 GPU. For the memory, we have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. Running on the latest 7.1.1 Nougat, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size, dual toned flash while at the front we get an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, 84-degree field of view and auto focus.

Powering the entire device is a 3000 battery, and Nokia 5 does have a 3.5 mm jack. For connectivity, we get Micro USB (USB 2.0), USB OTG, Wi-Fi, 4.1, NFC and GPS and for the sensors, Nokia has given in (G-sensor), ambient light sensor, e-compass, fingerprint sensor, Hall sensor, gyroscope and a proximity sensor. The device measures at 149.7 x 72.5 x 8.05 mm.
