Nokia 3.1 Android One smartphone with 5.2-inch HD+ display launched in India

The Nokia 3.1 is made of a polycarbonate rear panel with a dual diamond cut aluminium edges that gives the device shiny metal accents. The device features a 5.2-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels along with 2.5D curved glass and an elongated aspect ratio of 18:9 with some noticeable bezels.

HMD Global has today announced the launch of its latest budget-centric smartphone, the Nokia 3.1, in India. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 10,499 and it will be available from the company’s official website, Paytm Mall and offline stores starting from July 24. The phone comes in White/Iron, Blue/Copper, and Black/Chrome variants.

HMD has introduced some interesting launch offers with the Nokia 3.1. To start with, customers buying the latest smartphone from a retail store by scanning Paytm Mall QR code will get 10 per cent cashback on recharge and bill payments on Paytm. Further, users will get two Rs 250 movie cashback vouchers, which can be redeemed while booking movie tickets from Paytm.

Consumers using ICICI Bank credit or debit card will get a 5 per cent cashback on the latest smartphone. Additionally, Idea and Vodafone user will get two interesting offers. On the recharge of Rs 149 pack, customers will get 1GB data per day, unlimited calls and 100 per day for 28 days. Additionally, if the user is upgrading from a 2G or phone to the new Nokia 3.1 smartphone, he/she will get additional 1GB data per day. Similarly, on recharge of Rs 595 plan, users will get unlimited calls, 18GB of data, 100 SMS/day for 6 months.

Coming to some key specifications, the Nokia 3.1 is made of a polycarbonate rear panel with a dual diamond cut aluminium edges that gives the device shiny metal accents. The device features a 5.2-inch display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels along with 2.5D curved glass and an elongated aspect ratio of 18:9 with some noticeable bezels.


The Nokia 3.1 is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750N SoC along with Mali T860 GPU. The phone is backed by a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via card slot.

The phone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 and LED flash, while for the front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with 84.6-degree wide angle lens, f/2.0 aperture. The phone is backed by a 2,990mAh battery. The device runs on 8.0 Oreo and will likely be updated to Android P when the latter releases. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, 4.1, GPS, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, hybrid and port. The phone measures 146.25 x 68.65 x 8.7mm and weighs 138.3 grams.
