Nokia 3 has reportedly started getting March Android security update. HMD Global has started rolling out the new update in a staged manner in India and Kurdistan.
NokiaPowerUser reports that the update weighs around 100.1MB in size and is being pushed as an over-the-air in batches. This means the update will be available for select users at first before a mass rollout. It is expected that there will be global rollout in the next few weeks.
The Nokia 3 was launched back in the year 2017 with a price tag of Rs 9,499. But it can now be purchased for around Rs 7,900 via online channels. The device started receiving the Android 8.1 Oreo update in December last year with the December Android security patch. Now the device is being updated with the Android security patch for March. One can check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software updates.
The Nokia 3 smartphone comes with 5-inch HD 2.5 D curved displays with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. We get 1.3 GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MTK 6737 Chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. Nokia 3 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and packs in a 2650 mAh battery inside.
For the optics, we get a combination of 8-megapixel cameras on both front and back with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron Pixel size along with LED flash at the back and display flash at the front. For connectivity, we have Micro USB (USB 2.0), USB OTG, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC for sharing. Apart from this, we get Accelerometer (G-sensor), ambient light sensor, e-compass, fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.
