Homegrown mobile brand, Swipe Technologies has released an incremental software update for its new Freedom OS based Swipe Elite smartphone. The update has been released over the air (OTA)
“The OTA update is an incremental update available to all users of the Swipe’s Elite smartphone to fill the gaps between the promised and delivered features of the Freedom OS, as part of Swipe’s continuous improvements to offer an enhanced user interface,” said the company in a press release.
The update claims to improve the device’s performance and even said to enhance battery life. The upgrade offers a quick access to Omni swipe menu, which allows users to set preference to their favorite apps, contacts, settings and incoming notifications. The upgrade also comes with the Swipe Box 100 GB Cloud storage.

Swipe Elite was launched last month at Rs 5,999. It has a 5 inch display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core Processor and 2 GB RAM. It comes with 16 GB internal memory, which is expandable to up to 32 GB through a micro SD card. On the camera front, it has a 13 Megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel front camera. It is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery.
The phone has Android Lollipop operating system and has a custom user interface called Freedom OS. Besides, the Swipe Elite has dual SIM, 3G, OTG support, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS, proximity and light sensor. The phone weighs 131.3 grams and measures 142×70.8×8.05 mm.
