Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has announced the launch of a new Prepaid plan for its customers. Dubbed as Prepaid STV 171, the pack comes with a validity of 28 days.
Under this plan, MTNL users will get 1.5GB of data per day, which makes a grand total of 42GB of data for the said period, reports TelecomTalk. Further, users will get unlimited voice calls along with 100 SMS per day. However, it is important to note that MTNL has its operations in just two circles, thus the plan is only valid for Mumbai and Delhi users. Further, users can make unlimited calls and send SMSes in Mumbai and Delhi circles.
Once the daily limit is exhausted, the state-owned telecom operator will charge 3 paise per 10KB. However, there in no limitation on voice calling. One can recharge the plan online or one can send SMS recharge by sending SMS ‘RCH <Denomination of pack>’ to 444.
MTNL also have other prepaid plans like Rs 197, Rs 365 and Rs 421 that comes with daily data benefit, unlimited voice and 100 SMS per day for a different validity period. For, example, the Rs 421 plan offers 3GB of data per day and it comes with a validity of 84 days, thus making a grand total of 252GB of data. Users also get unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day with this pack. However, it is important to note that MTNL is yet to roll out 4G services in the country, meaning that users can only 3G network for utilising the data benefits.
